I’ve been a yoga instructor and a health coach in Gaithersburg, MD since 2013. I believe in living a life full of joy, gratitude, and free of judgement. These feelings inform and guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on helping my students better connect to themselves and with their surroundings. I offer small group yoga classes and private yoga sessions to women, as well as health and nutrition coaching to help my clients achieve healthier bodies and minds. Private and Small Group Yoga Classes
Flow of Movement
It can be difficult to get healthy if you don't know what steps to take. If you are a woman in your 50s, or 60s I will help you discover that you don't have to do hot fast yoga or cardio to reach your wellness goals. Recent neuroscience research is proving that faster is not always better. If you are exhausted, stressed out, frustrated and/or just tired, I want to show you the value of slow mindful movement. Neuro-scientists have studied the impacts of slow mindful yoga on body and brain health and have found the following improvements: improved energy, greater patience, pain reduction particulrly in chronic pain, and less depression. When you start a yoga practice, you may find that you want to eat healthier. Thi is turn leads to better sleep habits, less stress and more energy.
Focus on the present moment. Among its benefits, my small group and private yoga for nervous system resilience classes help improve many aspects of your life, including reaction time and short term memory issues. Those who have tried my small group yoga and private classes become more relaxed and less distracted by their fleeting thoughts, demonstrating an enhanced ability to solve problems and retain and recall information better. In addition, my slow yoga for nervous system resilience classes assist my students in easing aches and pains that are common during the aging process.
